What are the side effects of the therapy?
There are no major side effects to the therapy, and is extremely safe, as the bio-identical nature of the hormone therapy aims to respect your physiology. Short term side effects may include the following:
- Transient nausea for a week or two
- Transient bloating for a week or two
- Mild constipation
It is important to adhere to the prescribed dosage to minimise the risk of developing severe side effects
There is no risk of hair loss, cancers, heart attacks, strokes or cardiovascular disease associated with this therapy due to the bio-identical nature, along with the continuous medical monitoring.
How long before I start to feel better?
You need to give the therapy at least 6-8 weeks before you start to experience the positive effects of the therapy.
For how long do I need to be on the therapy?
You can be on the therapy as long as is required and can even be used as life-long therapy if you choose to do so. If you decide to stop the therapy, your hormonal profile will return to its original baseline.
Do I need to be on a specific diet and exercise program?
The answer to this is no, but we do encourage a healthy diet that is rich in whole foods with minimal processed foods, sugar and alcohol. The healthier the diet, the better and faster your results will be. Regular exercise, especially resistance exercise, will aid in complementing your healthy diet, and will ensure quicker and results.
Does it decrease fertility or increase it?
It has minimal to no effect on fertility.
What happens if you’re on the pill will it immediately eliminate you for the treatment?
Patients on the pill are not eliminated from the treatment.
Are we dealing with patients who have come off the pill and it has interfered with the hormones?
It can massively benefit patients who have come off the pill.
Is there an age limit?
Age limit is roughly 30+, but depends on symptoms and blood results.
Is it only for post menopausal women?
Its for all the symptoms of hormonal dysfunction listed on our medical questionnaire in the Get Started page.
What should I do if I’m travelling while on treatment?
If you’re planning a trip—whether for business or holiday—just let us know in advance. We’ll prepare a travel letter for you that confirms your medication is prescribed and legally obtained, making it easier to pass through customs or airport security. We can also help ensure you have enough supply to last the duration of your travels. Please give us at least 5 working days’ notice so we can arrange everything for you in time.

How do we monitor your progress?
We monitor your progress by two means. Firstly, by feedback from you with regards to improvement of your symptoms, and secondly by repeating your blood tests to monitor the biochemical profile of your hormones. Based on this monitoring, we can adjust the concentration of your hormone creams to ensure an optimal hormone profile.
